Australian Foreign Affairs has advised its citizens over Ireland Travel

Australian Department of Foreign Affairs has issued warning advice to its citizens while travelling to Ireland due to increased sectarian tensions between dissident republicans and unionists.



According to U TV,  Ministry Of Foreign Affairs has elucidated that tourist should “exercise normal safety precautions in Ireland and look out for suspicious behavior, as you would in Australia”. The foreign affairs website has issued safety advice for Aussies who are travelling to Ireland that they should avoid all kinds of violent protest and demonstrations.

The Department has advised to be vigilant in this situation. It stated that: “Car theft and break-ins are increasing, especially in Dublin and tourist locations, and rental cars are particularly targeted.
